Summer Funding Timeline
At A Glance
- Application deadlines vary by opportunity.
- Every Harvard-funded opportunity is assigned to one of three rounds: A, B, C.
- The date funding decisions are released and the date you must accept or decline an offer depend on the funding round.
- If you accept an offer in any round, you are ineligible to be funded in later rounds. Once you accept an offer, you will automatically be removed from consideration for other Harvard-funded opportunities for summer 2026. For example, if you accept study abroad funding in Round A, you will not be considered for funding for any Round B or Round C opportunity.
- Exceptions – In accordance with the Harvard College Summer Funding Policy, the following students will be considered for later round funding even if they accept funding in an earlier round:
- Juniors seeking thesis research funding
- Applicants to the Priscilla Chan Summer Service Stipend for the $1,000 supplementary cost-of-living stipend.
