#  Summer Funding Opportunities Office (SFO) Coach for College (For Varsity Athletes and Collegiate Dancers Only) 

 



[Coach for College](https://www.coachforcollege.org/) is a funded, four-week public service volunteer program that allows American university varsity student athletes and collegiate dancers to interact with Vietnamese university students to help teach young children in rural Vietnam a curriculum of academics, sports or dance, and life skills.



 

 

### Student Eligibility 

 

You're eligible to apply if you:

- Are a Varsity student-athlete or collegiate dancer
- Are a current Harvard College student
- Are in [good academic standing](/eligibility#academic-standing "Student Eligibility for Funding") when you apply and throughout your summer internship
- Are not on an involuntary [leave of absence](/eligibility#leaves "Student Eligibility for Funding")
- Are compliant with the [Harvard College Summer Funding Policy](/eligibility#summer-funding-compliance "Student Eligibility for Funding")

##  Application Instructions 

1. Enroll in [direct deposit](https://sfs.harvard.edu/direct-deposit).
2. Fill out the [Coach for College Application](https://www.coachforcollege.org/participate) by Thursday, February 12, 2026.



 

##  Award Amount and Out-of-Pocket Expenses 

### Award Amounts

- In-person: Cost of the program fee (which includes cost of travel)

### Out-of-Pocket Expenses

It is the student’s responsibility to cover any costs not covered by the stipend, for example:

- Visas
- Personal expenses
- Immunizations
- Cell phone coverage
